Steve Marvel

Steve Marvel is an American actor and voiceover artist active in film, television,  stage, and behind the mic. His film work includes roles in Mr. Sophistication, opposite Robert Patrick (Gangster Squad, True Blood) and Harry Lennix, and Revival!, also starring Mr. Lennix along with Chaka Khan and Obba Babatundé. On stage, Steve has appeared in productions with the Laguna Playhouse, A Noise Within, The Theatre at Boston Court, The Reduced Shakespeare Company, and the fabled Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. He won praise for directing LA’s first all-black production of MACBETH, also starring Harry Lennix. He regularly voices video games for Sony, Mattel, and ActiVision, including PlayStation’s Preacher character in the Twisted Metal vehicle combat series. Most recently, he voiced the Bum and various other shady characters in the long-awaited revival of the Leisure Suit Larry franchise.

His recent audiobook work includes narrating best-selling mystery author Jake Needham’s Inspector Tay novels and Peggy Henderson’s highly popular Teton Romance series. He has been the regular narrator for New York Times-best-selling author John Mauldin’s “Thoughts from the Frontline Audio” newsletter.

He is a graduate of the celebrated Acting program at Northwestern University.
